Renovation Costs
The total value of the improvement measures carried out under the energy services contract and the ongoing services provided by the energy services company for the five year contract period was £28,400, towards which a grant of £10,000 was awarded by EST. The remainder of the costs will be paid by the school over a five year period from the energy cost savings achieved.

During the first year, the payments made by the school to Chalmor have been equal to 90% of the anticipated energy cost savings of £6,240. In subsequent years, payments will be adjusted to 90% of the savings actually achieved following the annual energy audit – thus the school will retain 10% of the energy cost savings and all of the risk if energy savings are not achieved in practice will be taken by Chalmor.
